Born and raised in the gateway of the Philippines, Pasay City, Reigner Jireh D. Antiquera dreamt to serve and protect his fellow countrymen. With aspirations to serve his countrymen, he strived hard and graduated Cum Ladue in 2009 with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing. At that same year, he brought honor to his Alma Mater by passing the Nursing Licensure Exam. Currently working at the Supreme Court of the Philippines – Metropolitan Trial Court as a Court Interpreter. He also serves as the President & Chairperson of the Alliance of Young Nurse Leaders Advocates Inc. (AYNLA) – a network of young professional nurses advocating for nurses’ rights and welfare, Universal Health Coverage, and U.N. SDGs.
Notably, he joined several committee hearings in the past, both the Senate and House of Representatives, as a Resource Speaker, addressing the issues of nurses, young people, and women’s health. Likewise, he represented AYNLA to the Technical Working Group, which drafted the Revised Implementing Rules and Regulations of R.A. 10354, otherwise known as the Responsible Parenthood and Reproductive Health Act of 2012.
Moreover, in the years 2014-2017, he served as the National Representative for the Philippines of the International Bar Association (IBA) – Law Students Committee in the United Kingdom, aiming to aid the efforts of the IBA in bridging the gap between the national law student associations and international legal community.
Finally, after passing the recent Bar Examinations, he plans to continue serving in the Judiciary as a lawyer or join the Public Attorney’s Office to fight for the rights and welfare of the indigent litigants, the oppressed, marginalized, and underprivileged members of the society.
